The Story CD came out today! It was inspired by The Story Bible, Max Lucado’s book “God’s Story, Your Story,” and Randy Frazee’s book “The Heart of The Story.”
All 18 songs were co-written by Nichole Nordeman and Bernie Herms.
There are 24 artists on this project singing as Biblical characters that range from Adam and Eve, to Moses, to Esther, to Mary, and Paul.
Nichole’s lyrics have made these “Biblical Icons” human. These men and women made incredible decisions of faith without knowing the outcome.
All of these songs have videos. They were shot in Europe and Africa, and the acting performances are incredibly moving.
Another great thing is all of the artists royalties will go to World Vision. Many of us will be on The Story Tour this December along with Max Lucado and Randy Frazee.
I had the opportunity to be involved in this project right from the beginning. Along with singing as Job, I demoed 7 of the songs for some of the other artists. The second song I demoed was “When Love Sees You.” I refer to it as “The Jesus Song.”
This song has made me see Christ in a way I never had before. His Divinity, humanity, grace, passion, and compassion are communicated so beautifully through both the lyrics and video.
Here is the debut of “When Love Sees You” video sung by Third Day’s Mac Powell.
Todd Smith

I like anything that Mac sings, God Bless you all. Keep Magnifying the Lord
I agree with Todd: I, too, was moved by the video: “it made me see Jesus in a way I never had before: his divinity, humanity, grace, passin, and compassion are communicated so beautifully through both the lyrics and video.”
Only now the video is gone. I wish they’d bring it back. sva
This is BEAUTIFUL!! I absolutely can not wait to see The Story at NorthRidge Church in Plymouth, Michigan, on December 14th!!
Beautiful song! What a glorious way to praise Him using the ministry of music…
This song is incredibly powerful. Although I already know Jesus as my Savior, the lyrics and images brought me to tears of grateful appreciation and recognition that His story is the reason for my story. Thank you for this powerful affirmation.
Todd & Amy – I met you briefly after The Story tonight in Dallas and just wanted to reiterate what a blessing The Story was to me. You both sang incredibly, and the message of the songs was made even more powerful through you. The song about Job had tears streaming down my face. I wanted to just jump up with Job when he stood up in the video to offer his praise to God. Thank you for your beautiful testimony of praise to the Lord – it is powerful & an encouragement to others, such as myself.
Absolutely beautiful! I pray this video can save souls, as people may see Jesus in a different way, as previous responses state. I was born-again after seeing The Passion of the Christ in the theatre for the same reason. What a gift I’ve been given & I pray it happens to others through this video! God bless you & what He is doing through you!
